SocialMiami.com and Friends of the New World Symphony’s Executive Committee members came out to La Marea at The Tides South Beach for its new Wednesday night event, “La Notte.” Meaning the night in Italian, La Notte (pronounced La No-Tay) takes place every Wednesday from 6 -10 p.m. Guests enjoyed a sampling of wines and La Marea’s signature Tides Royale cocktails, fusing spiced rum with guanabana and cranberry juice, topped with a kiwi slice. Chef Pietro Rota presented a Mediterranean palette of bruschettas and montaditos on the terrace.
Perched above famed Ocean Drive, the elevated location provides the only ocean view from any terrace and restaurant on this famed stretch. Upon entering The Tides’ new lobby, guests are immersed in the hotel’s enchanting environment. Inspired by The Tides’ original art deco bone structure, famed designer Kelly Wearstler layered her waterborne vision of organic materials, luxurious textures, sunset colors, and vintage-inspired accents over the property’s historic base. The Tides’ impressive offerings include the new Martini Bar, the elegant La Marea restaurant and The Tides’ signature Coral Bar (debuting Winter 2007).
La Marea is located at The Tides South Beach, 1220 Ocean Drive. La Marea is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Breakfast is served from 7 to 11 a.m.; Lunch is served from 12 to 5 p.m.; Dinner is served from 6 to 11 p.m. Reservations are suggested by calling 305.604.5070. Valet parking is available. All major credit cards are accepted.
