Baptist Health Foundation Honors Esteemed Philanthropists
There was an abundance of gratitude and appreciation at Baptist Health Foundation’s annual “A Celebration of Generosity” November 29 at Coral Gables Country Club, where many of Baptist Health South Florida’s greatest supporters were honored for their commitment to the not-for-profit healthcare system and its ability to provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare to all. The honorees have generously supported the organization with gifts ranging from $10,000 to over $5 million.

Baptist Health Foundation Board Chair Tomas Erban shared the organization’s hope to inspire philanthropy in anyone who interacts with the Foundation, through a powerful and pervasive culture of kindness, generosity and gratitude.
Brian E. Keeley, President and CEO of Baptist Health South Florida, spoke about the challenges in the healthcare industry and how generosity is making an increasingly important difference at Baptist Health. “Shrinking margins and lower reimbursements continue to impact our bottom line,” said Keeley. “We don’t expect the challenges in our industry to go away, so your continued generosity will enable us to tackle them head-on, and continue to make a difference in the lives of those who matter most – our patients.”
The evening came to a close when Baptist Health Foundation CEO emeritus Bill Banchs invited Baptist Health’s senior executive team to the stage for a toast in honor of the esteemed donors.
