37th Annual Red Cross Ball
The Greater Miami & The Keys Chapter of the American Red Cross honored Bunny Bastian at its 37th Annual Red Cross Ball, “Surround Yourself In Red,” at the InterContinental Miami. Bastian, a long-time Red Cross volunteer and Humanitarian Chair of the Ball, was presented with the Crystal Cross Award, which honors partners who have shown exemplary support of and service to the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross.
Bastian has served on the Board of the Greater Miami & The Keys Chapter; is an outstanding member of the Tiffany Circle; a 2008 Spectrum Award winner; and has served as a Grand Humanitarian of the Red Cross Ball since 2000.
Ball Co-Chairs Amanda Altman, Janine and Dax Bello, together with Humanitarian Sponsor Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, P.A., celebrated the lifesaving services provided by the Red Cross in South Florida. Almost 400 guests were in attendance sporting their finest red attire.
“Every year, this gala raises the bar for fundraising events in South Florida, and this year was no exception,” said Amanda Altman, a Co-Chair of this year’s Ball and a Board member. “In addition to honoring Bunny Bastian for her tireless work on behalf of the American Red Cross, we were able to raise significant funds to assist with disaster preparedness, response and recovery programs and services, continuing our chapter’s commitment to serving communities in Greater Miami & The Keys.”
The fabulous fête was followed by the 2nd annual Party In Red, the official afterparty of the Red Cross Ball where Miami’s brightest young professionals gathered to continue the celebration at one of South Florida’s most prestigious social fundraising events. Party In Red was chaired by Carolyn Hicks, Amy Poliakoff and Michele Reese.
