Over 300 guests, escorted by volunteer singers and dancers from Montclair State University, filled the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel. The performers generously donated their time and talent for a fabulous review of Broadway shows.
Chairman of the Board Dan Tasciotti welcomed guests, and introduced President Les Eisenberg who thanked the attendees for their unwavering support that has made Children’s Resource Educational Center a model program for children with special needs. Les Eisenberg recognized Gala Co-Chairmen for an amazing and successful Gala.
Founder and CEO Peggy Armaly recognized Grand Honorees President Les Eisenberg and his wife, Past President, Susan for their remarkable philanthropy, leadership and dedication to the mission of CRF. Philanthropic Honoree Lynn Girsh was praised for her outstanding contributions to improve the lives of the children that attend the Lynn and Mike Girsh Elementary Academy. Gala Honoree and Past President Betty Brandt was thanked and acknowledged for her philanthropy, leadership and continued belief in CRF’s mission and for all she does for so many.
Penny Shaffer, Market President of Corporate Grand Sponsor Florida Blue, was applauded for Florida Blue’s continued support of CRF and to the South Florida community
The highlight of the evening was the moving performance of a group of students of CRF who delighted the guests with a beautiful rendition of “Stand by Me”. There was not one dry eye in the room! Former student, twenty year old Austin Landa, thanked the members of CRF for his wonderful experience during his preschool years at CRF which gave him the necessary tools to now be attending college and be working toward a degree in veterinarian medicine.
