Take a Walk in Her Shoes is a fundraiser featuring a salute to classic haute couture and the iconic fashion designers to benefit the women and children served by Chapman Partnership.

This iconic fashion show fundraiser is produced by C. Madeline’s, the world’s largest vintage showroom, and directed by Danny Santiago, “Take a Walk in Her Shoes” is an opportunity to experience fashion history while honoring outstanding South Florida women and raising funds to improve the lives of homeless women through Chapman Partnership programs and services. Makeup and hairstyling is performed by Rik- Rak Salon.

This year’s “Take a Walk in Her Shoes” honorees are Ana Figueroa de Cisneros, Nancy Hector, Lani Kahn Drody, Linda Levy Goldberg, Lilliam Marchado, Jilian Posner, Trina Robinson, Alexandra Villoch and Allison Weiss Brady.

The Event Chairs are Bronwyn Miller, Irene Korge and Migna Sanchez-Llorens and the 2015 Honorary Chairs are Trish and Dan Bell. CBS4 TV personality, Lisa Petrillo was the Master of Ceremonies.

“This event is extraordinarily important because it highlights the plight of homeless women and children. There is a stereotype in our community that homelessness is only about men, but we have hundreds of homeless women and children in our community,” said Bronwyn Miller. . “This is women helping women. We have the most giving — and stylish, of course — women in our community gathering together to support eradicating homeless women and children.”

At this year’s Take a Walk in Her Shoes Chapman Partnership announced the Trish Bell Lifetime Leadership Award that honors and recognizes an individual in our community who inspires and motivates the people around them to achieve a greater vision of hope and opportunity for those most in need.

Womenade is composed of women from all walks of life united by a commitment to increase awareness and revenue for Chapman Partnership.

Chapman Partnership operates two Homeless Assistance Centers. Our programming is designed to address the complex factors – poverty, education, employment and housing that affect their health and quality of life. Supportive services link clients with sustainable, affordable housing that is not time limited, help them to secure/retain jobs, and access health resources, effectively reducing poverty, expanding economic opportunities, and building assets that contribute to the development of viable urban communities. Since 1995 we have had more than 100,000 admissions, including 20,000 children.

Chapman Partnership is the private sector partner of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust.
