2004 Serving the Arts Luncheon: Major Applause for the Arts!

Overview of the Grand Ballroom for the Luncheon
More than 600 corporate leaders, arts executives, elected officials and arts patrons gathered on June 2 to honor the companies and individuals that keep the arts vibrant and thriving. The 7th annual Serving the Arts Luncheon, at the Eden Roc Resort on Miami Beach, was our best ever. The program started with roving artists from Circ X, Amodomez, Gold Coast Theatre Company and South Beach Chamber Ensemble performing for guests. At noon Master of Ceremonies Bonnie Berman, morning host for Classical 1360 radio and George Neary from the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau welcomed guests. While participants dined on a gourmet lunch, 18 important awards were presented. The Serving the Arts Award winners are selected from nominees submitted by arts organizations. More than 150 nominations were received this year for these prestigious awards. In addition to the Arts & Business Council, the Dade Cultural Alliance and the Children’s Cultural Coalition presented awards this year.
