The American Nicaraguan Foundation (ANF) celebrated their 19th annual fundraising gala under the theme "Building a Better Future" at the InterContinental Hotel. The ANF is dedicated to support the neediest sectors in Nicaragua.

The unforgettable evening began as guests were greeted on the red carpet by the Gala’s chairperson Theresa Pellas and ANF chairman of the board, Alfredo Pellas, Jr.

Patrons entered the cocktail reception while they were welcomed with an open bar including; the signature drink of the evening, “The Nicatini”, 7th & 18th Year Centenario Gold Flor de Cana rum, champagne, and hors de oeuvres. Also, they enjoyed an informal fashion show by Mayda Cisneros couture collection.

Guests had a chance to bid on a fabulous array of silent auction items. Among the luxury items up for bid included artwork by Botero, Kilmpt & Dali, exclusive vacation packages, high fashion jewelry vignette, and much more.

The ballroom décor was absolutely stunning with a modern black and white presentation designed by Grande Affaires. Guests enjoyed an exquisite dinner before dancing past midnight to the vibrant sounds of a live orchestra. WSVN’s very own Diana Diaz hosted the night and the Live Auction; Building a Better Future, which raised money to build 81 homes for less fortunate families in Nicaragua.

After midnight patrons continued the festivities at the After Glow Lounge. The stylish lounge featured White Bon Bons, Chef Sergio’s special creation “White Russian Shooter” and fine liquors.

As a gesture of gratitude, our guests received a gift bag with gourmet Café Don Paco infused with18th Year Centenario Gold Flor de Cana rum.

The celebration brought in people from all over the Americas and Europe to recognize the achievements of injecting nearly 173 million dollars annually into the most impoverished communities of Nicaragua.
