Publix ZSG Sizzling Summer Night July 15, 2005

Comedian Chris Spencer
The evening sizzled as the red-hot crowd arrived at the InterContinental Hotel for the Publix ZSG Sizzling Summer Night, part of Tyson & Pepsi Zo’s Summer Groove. More than 1,100 guests had the opportunity to mix and mingle with Miami’s finest, bid on one-of-a-kind auction items and personal experiences with Zo, D. Wade and Shaq. Hosted by TV Analyst Kenny Smith and Actress Victoria Rowell, other special guests included Dwyane Wade, Eddie Jones, Robert Horry, Johnathan Vilma, and many others.
Each guest was treated like a celebrity as they walked the red carpet with mock paparazzi at both sides taking endless snapshots and asking the questions everyone wants to know “what are you wearing”, “who did you bring”…
During the cocktail reception guests moved to the rhythm of SPAM All-Stars as dancers from Rhythm City Productions demonstrated the hottest steps for each guest wanting to spice up the night with sexy dance moves. The night ended with the sounds of the Negroni’s Trio with special guest Sammy Figueroa.
The event, as part of a large week of activities, helped raise more than $500,000 for local charities.
Since 1997, Alonzo Mourning and Alonzo Mourning Charities, Inc., a non-profit 501 (c)(3) public foundation, have raised monies in a variety of ways from the general public and other donors to support deserving charities and organizations that aid in the development and education of at-risk children and families.
