A sea of red greeted guests as hundreds of friends and supporters of the American Heart Association gathered to await the start of the Red Dress Fashion Show. The Go Red for Women silent auction got a lot of action during the reception as guests socialized while sipping cocktails and enjoying scrumptious hors d’oeuvres all as they browsed the items offered for bid.
The Bass Museum of Art’s spacious second floor was transformed into a European-style runway setting with a lot of clamoring for front row seats. As the cornerstone of the Miami Go Red Movement, AHA’s 2010 Red Dress Fashion Show is traditionally held during Miami’s Fall Fashion Week. It unites supporters of art, fashion, and health and brings critical attention to heart disease and women. Symbolizing women’s fight against heart disease, the Red Dress is always the icon of the show. This year’s edition was presented by Perry Ellis International, highlighting its men’s wear, swim and sport brands, as well as a wide array of evening gowns.
The Go Red For Women movement inspires Miami women year-long with interactive programming, educational tools, and events.
