For the 52nd consecutive year, The Vizcayans hosted its annual formal gala for over 300 guests in the sub-tropical evening splendor of Vizcaya, this year dedicated as The Preservation Ball in recognition of the organization's extraordinary accomplishments over the last year and a half to protect, preserve and restore Vizcaya.
Ball Co-Chairs were Norma Quintero, Bill Meyersohn, William Jones, Sonia Gibson, Valerie Scanavino and Ana Varela-Moran. Guests enjoyed Vizcaya's house and historic gardens with a clear, unobstructed view to the southeast. The evening included celebrations of birthdays and wedding anniversaries highlighted by a spectacular fireworks display over the calm of Biscayne Bay.
Thierry's Catering, Republic National Distributing, Roberto Cavalli Vodka, Pistils and Petals, Emerald Bouquet Company and the Steve Chase Orchestra produced the gorgeous event topped off by a luxurious silent auction with items from Neiman Marcus at Merrick Park and Bal Harbour, Van Cleef & Arpels, Judith Ripka, Lux by Houman Jewelry, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, Tiffany & Co., Versace Bal Harbour, Christofle, Cartier and others.
