This year NBA-Champion Alonzo Mourning and wife Tracy hosted the 5th annual “It’s All Overtown” fundraiser. On Saturday, March 15th community leaders and residents dressed in their best all-white outfits to celebrate the “So Chic in White Heat” theme. Event guests included Congressman Kendrick Meeks, Big D and the Bottom Shelf Band and Nicole Henry.

The event embodied the best of South Beach style and featured music by DJ Irie. In addition, famous Miami restaurants Prime 112, North One 10 and Morton Steakhouse, among others, provided chic cuisine to event visitors. To add to the South Beach flavor of the night, an official after party was held at Karu & Y @ Ultra lounge, where party-goers danced the night away. This year’s “It’s All Overtown” event raised more than $1 million for the Overtown Youth Center’s ongoing program and services.
