Village of Merrick Park & SocialMiami.com Host a Gala Mother’s Day Luncheon

Village of Merrick Park and SocialMiami.com celebrated that most hallowed of days -– the one set aside each year to honor mothers. Special guests and friends, community leaders and loyal Merrick Park customers were feted at a champagne reception hosted by Luca Luca. Amid the stunning and elaborately feminine dresses, created by legendary designer Luca Orlandi, guests mingled and mothers and daughters posed for special Mother’s Day portraits.

Audrey Bernstein, Trudy Cejas, Fanny Dascal, Bunchy Gertner, Glenda Krongold, Suzie Sayfie and other notable guests made the short walk from Luca Luca through the lushly landscaped gardens of the Village of Merrick Park to the acclaimed Italian Restaurant, Villagio, for a gala luncheon. In between courses, models showed the finest offerings from Diane Von Furstenberg, Luca Luca and Equinox Fitness, all merchants at Village of Merrick Park.

Long after the fashions had been modeled and the last of the espresso was poured, guests lingered and chatted about the beautiful clothes they had seen, the delicious food they had been served, and the wonderful goodies in their generously appointed Village of Merrick Park gift bags. All in all it was a most pleasurable way to spend the day and a fitting tribute to the special ladies in our lives.
