Next generation and present day philanthropists, business leaders and important persons from the South Florida Community strutted the catwalk at the first ever Future Pacesetters Fashion Show hosted by Tiffany & Co., in support of the Fanjul family's humanitarian foundation, Mission International Rescue Charities (MIR) at the Grove Isle Hotel & Spa.
The signature event featured the successful prodigies of today and tomorrow as the runway models for the night, each showcasing the latest styles made available by the designers and boutiques from Village of Merrick Park. Participants were adorned with jewelry provided by specialty retailer Tiffany & Co. as they displayed the ultra-chic fashions from designers Diane Von Furstenberg, Façonnable, Luca Luca, La Perla, Astoria, Carolina Herrera, Schedoni and Jimmy Choo to name a few. The Grove Isle Hotel & Spa's spectacular poolside locale, bordered by the bay, served as the backdrop of the evening.
The choice citizen models of the night ranged in age from adolescence to adulthood, each selected for their educational, professional and/or community service work within the South Florida and Palm Beach communities. The "stars" of the show included: Mistress of Ceremonies Stephanie Sayfie Aagard (Steph Sez, Miami Herald), rising US tennis player Jamea Jackson, Barbie Simons (Sábado Gigante), Mariela Encarnación (Mega TV, Lamusica.com), Crista & Maryana Azqueta (granddaughters of Lian Fanjul-Azqueta & Norberto Azqueta), Raissita Herrera (daughter of Raysa Herrera), and Elizabeth Hayworth (daughter of Daisy and Steve Hayworth, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust), among many others.
