C.A.J.E.'s Flavors of Israel Dinner
The third annual Flavors of Israel Dinner, presented by the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education, was held at the Conrad Miami Hotel, on Sunday, February 12, 2006.
Chaired by Michael and Linda Bittel, Cheryl and Ruben Kloda, Daniel and Laura Koffsky, Sidney and Nadine Pertnoy, and Aaron and Dorothy Podhurst... the evening hosted 240 people in the Conrad Ballroom.
The dinner was prepared by three creative chefs: Michael Gilligan of Atrio; Kurtis Jantz, Executive Chef of the Trump Sonesta Beach Resort; and special guest Chef Erez Komorovsky, who flew in from Israel to be part of the culinary team. The four-course dinner began with platters of delicacies prepared by Chef Erez, along with his specialty breads. Each of the courses was accompanied by a matched wine by Yarden, who graciously donated all the wines for the evening.
Both a silent and live auction highlighted the event featuring fabulous fine art from the Fred Snitzer Gallery, wine trips to Napa and Oregon, cruises, dinners, weekend get-a-ways, dinners, theater tickets, jewelry, and a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Israel with an itinerary designed by Lin Arison.
