Over 340 people attended the 17th annual Twelve Good Men luncheon at Jungle Island. The purpose of the event is to honor leading men with a history of outstanding community involvement, civic service, and involvement in one or more of South Florida’s charity organizations. Honorees are nominated by past 12 Good Men award recipients, the event committee members then select 12 finalists. This year’s event raised more than $69,000 to benefit children and families staying at the House That Love Built®”.

“We are very pleased with the success of this year’s event,” commented Soraya-Rivera Moya, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House. “We are delighted to pay tribute to these men who have worked hard for the betterment of our community and who share our passion for helping those who are less fortunate.”

The Ronald McDonald House is a place where families of seriously ill children, who are being treated at nearby pediatric hospitals, can stay during their medical crisis. No family is ever turned away for their inability to pay.
