Merci la France pays tribute to Paris for its gifts to many artists and influence on Gary Nader life’s work. Featuring work by Fernando Botero, Agustín Cárdenas, Mario Carreño, Carlos Cruz Diez, Bernard Dreyfus, Carlos Enríquez, Agustín Fernández, Pedro Figari, Wifredo Lam, and many more. Opening Reception on May 11th from 5-9 p.m. On exhibit through June 30.

The Haitian Summer Institute is a six-week program designed for anyone interested in acquiring basic conversational proficiency in Haitian Creole and also for those students who wish to continue their Haitian Creole Language training at the intermediate and advanced levels. The FLAS-approved institute is held at FIU's Modesto Maidique Campus and culminates with an optional study abroad to Haiti.
Almost 100 years ago, playwright Tennessee Williams traveled to South Florida and famously introduced a toast at sundown.
