Miami’s top law firms challenged each other to a dodgeball tournament, “Dare to Dodge,” benefiting United Way of Miami-Dade. Now in its second year, the tournament doubled in size to include eight law firms: Akerman LLP; Berger Singerman; Bilzin Sumberg; Carlton Fields Jorden Burt; Fowler White Burnett; Greenberg Traurig; Holland & Knight; and Kluger Kaplan Silverman Katzen & Levine. Teams met on a different type of court and faced off in a single elimination round, complete with referees from Miami Dodgeball League. After the dust settled, Akerman LLP came out victorious for the second year in a row; Bilzin Sumberg placed second; and Fowler White Burnett came in third place.

More than 200 staff, attorneys and partners from all eight participating law firms attended, dressed from head-to-toe in team spirit! Some of the VIPs in attendance included: Jaret L. Davis, co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig; Jorge Hernandez-Toraño partner of Holland & Knight and United Way board member; Christopher E. Knight, managing shareholder of Fowler White Burnett; Charles Rosenberg, managing shareholder of Carlton Fields; and Andrew Smulian, Chairman and CEO of Akerman LLP, among others.
