Guests of all ages celebrated the 3rd annual “It’s a Family Affair”, a family afternoon of music, philanthropy and fun in the extraordinary Frank Gehry-designed New World Center on Miami Beach.

Guests were delighted by The Mozart Experience—a concert with a twist that had everyone laughing out loud—lead by NWS Conducting Fellow Teddy Abrams and featuring the award-winning Magic Circle Mime Company artists.

Following the performance, guests stepped into a 21st century musical wonderland for a hands-on celebration hosted by NWS’ talented young Fellows. Activities included NWS’ signature Instrument Petting Zoo and Percussion Jam, Compose-Your-Own Masterpiece, Name That Tune, Rooftop Drum Circle, Mozart Time Machine and Fontainebleau Kids' popular musical arts-and-crafts stations.

Refreshments were served courtesy of illy coffee, Whole Foods Market, VitaminWater Zero, PopChips and Barefoot Wine & Bubbly.

The event helped raise $75,000+, with all proceeds benefitting New World Symphony’s Community Outreach programs, which bring the magic of music to more than 12,000 K-12 students in Miami-Dade and Broward county schools annually.
