MIAMI magazine hosted it’s “To Live and Dine” event, the 9th annual dining celebration, bringing the magazine’s July/August “FEAST” issue to life at the M Building. Matador Room and Bar took the top spot as the winning restaurant followed by Lightkeepers in 2nd place and 3rd place going to Scarpetta. Editor-in-Chief Luis Rigual was joined by Miami’s leading media, local food critics and food bloggers who served as judges of the competition including Belkys Nerey, Gio Gutierrez, Yaniv Cohen, Jen Karetnick, Valentina Lara, Grace Della and Michael Pisarri. The city’s most gastronomy-driven chefs including Lightkeepers’ Chef Raul Del Pozo, STK Chef Eli Jackson, River Yacht Club Chef Jun Hee Lee, Dashi Chef Shuji Hiyakawa, Edge Steak & Bar Chef Aaron Brooke, Seaspice Pastry Chef Jill Montinola, Kiki On The River Chef Steve Rhee, Bird & Bone Chef/Founder Richard Hales, and Corsair Chef Gordon Maybury were on hand preparing delectable bites for the more than 400 foodie-obsessed guests in attendance. The mouthwatering fare was complemented by hand-crafted cocktails and wines by Voga Wines, Gemma Di Luna sparkling moscato and Russian Standard Vodka. Chapman Partnership hosted a raffle of prizes, and collected food for the Miami shelter.
