Bank of America hosted its annual Miami-Dade County Grantee Celebration at Camillus House, where notable charitable organizations joined to network and be honored for the work they do in the community. Casa Valentina, an organization committed to helping youth successfully transition from foster care to independent living, was recognized as the bank’s 2013 Neighborhood Builders recipient for which they received $200,000 in unrestricted grant funding. Additionally, the organization’s executive director and an emerging leader will participate in a leadership development program in response to the need for strong leaders to face the challenges faced in our communities.
