The Southern Florida Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society raised a record $315,000 for LLS during its 10-week fundraising quest to name Miami’s first LLS Miami Man and Woman of the Year. Keith St. Clair of Forum Telecom, Inc. was named 2011 Man of the Year and Kimarie Stratos of Memorial Healthcare System was named 2011 Woman of the Year at the LLS Celebrating Life Gala held at the InterContinental Miami. The black-tie event featured a cocktail reception, live and silent auction, dinner, dancing and the announcement of the winners. In addition to Stratos and St. Clair, a select group of local leaders participated in the fundraising competition, including Jacqueline Becerra, Greenberg Traurig; David Fellows, John Moriarty & Associates of Florida, Inc.; Amber Hendrickson, Saks Fifth Avenue; Jen Klaassens, The Wasie Foundation; and Roberto Munoz, Professional Bank. The local winners will now compete for the national title of Man & Woman of the Year.
