Jackson Memorial Foundation (JMF), the fundraising arm of Jackson Health System, celebrated its Golden Angel Society’s donation of $2.3 million to Jackson Health System at their annual recognition dinner at Joe’s Stone Crab. Thirty-nine new Golden Angels were recognized, along with the 2012/2013 honorees who will also take center stage at the 2014 Golden Angels Gala, chaired by Fana Holtz. Foundation Board Member Janice Lipton received the Rainmaker Award; Dr. Shulamit Katzman was awarded the Jay W. Weiss Humanitarian Award; and Moises Jacobs, M.D. was given the Robert Zeppa, M.D. Award of Excellence. The multi-million dollar donation to Jackson Health System will help fund the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Holtz Children Hospital, the Coulter Pathology Lab, and the Roberta Orlen Chaplin Digital Breast Imaging Center, among others.
