Thanks to the renowned Friends of Chamber Music Miami, the virtuoso genius of pianist Benjamin Grosvenor enchanted the audience at Gusman Hall UM, who demanded 3 encores. If lucky, once in a lifetime does one hear a talent so rare. How many honors and prizes can you load on a 20 year old pianist? Last month he carried off a Classical Brit and two Gramophone awards in one week. Ever since he won the piano section of the BBC Young Musician of the year competition at age 12 he has been singled out for stardom. Last year, he became both the 1st British pianist in nearly 6 decades to be signed up by Decca and also the youngest-ever soloist to appear on the opening night of the Proms. He has led to the emergence of today’s audience favorite, with his towering Saint-Saens, bewitching Scarlatti, and dazzling jazz.

The Meet The Artist Reception was huge success and enjoyed by all.

Mr. Grosvenor will return next year to perform on the Friends of Chamber Music series.
