SocialMiami's Hellmund was on the Art Basel scene covering some powerful Miami events. One hundred of Art Basel's most elite attendees were hosted to a luncheon and preview of Mark di Suvero at Fairchild by collectors Lin Lougheed and Aaron Fleischman, and Lisa Dennison of Sotheby's. Guests previewed di Suvero's enormous steel sculptures which have been installed among the world famous flowering trees and vines, lush rainforest and bustling butterfly garden. The MOCA party, hosted by Vanity Fair and Grey Goose, was a hip Basel bash. The Miami event marked the first major U.S. museum exhibition of Albanian-born artist Anri Sala from the 1990s to the present. Later that same evening, Hellmund journeyed to Galerie Adler Bertin Toublanc for the opening night reception of a dynamic group show that featured 49 artists. The following day, Hellmund got up early for the Rubell Family Collection breakfast, which marked the opening of 30 Americans. The annual Basel breakfast featured an artsy and edible display of cereal, milk and coffee, and brought out a who's who from the international art world.
