FREE SPOOKY SYMPHONY

The Arsht Center's Free Family Fest events continue with a spooky twist for Halloween! Spooky Symphony is a free Halloween family concert that features the most beautiful scary music you’ve ever heard! Performed by The Greater Miami Youth Symphony and the Alhambra Orchestra, the program includes a multimedia presentation of thrilling excerpts from Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Batman: The Dark Knight, other Halloween favorites and a variety of classical selections. Kids are encouraged to dress in their best Halloween costumes to enhance the supernatural experience! General admission seating is expected to be available so plan to arrive as early at 3 p.m. to line up for seating on a first-come first-serve basis.

5TH ANNUAL HOWL-O-WEEN

HALLOWEEN KIDS' CLUB EVENT - PLUS TRICK-OR-TREATING!

Halloween from 1 to 6 p.m.

Southland Mall will host another Kids' Club Event with a lot of fun Halloween activities for everybody! Plus there will be Trick-or-Treating for all ghosts and goblins near the fountain by TJ Maxx from 1 to 3 p.m. Candy-filled goodie bags will be handed out while supplies last. South Florida Parenting Magazine will join Southland Mall to celebrate Halloween with Kids' Club members. Come scary or not and participate in the Halloween costume contest with prizes for all and grand prizes for the two winners. There will be lots of fun entertainment and games with Daisy the Witch! The fun happens around Center Court from 4 to 6 p.m. Don't miss it!

MICHIMU'S HALLOWEEN

Trick or Treat? You'll find a little of both at Miami Children's Museum. Take a walk through the Haunted House and explore the different spooky rooms; create some creepy crafts; and play ghostly games! Plus, there will be some spooky science experiments and trick-or-treating. All the Museum's educators will be in costumes, and you should come in yours too!

FRIENDLY CREATURES OF THE NIGHT

Thursday, October 29 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Fairchild Gardens offers a night of discovery for the whole family! Come dressed as your favorite creature and don’t forget your flashlight. Learn about the night creatures dwelling in our backyards and stroll through the Garden looking for creepy crawly creatures like spiders, owls and bats while taking part in hands-on themed activities all evening. Start at the Science Village where you'll stop at Discovery Stations featuring Carnivorous Plants, Owls and Bugs. See owls up close with help from the folks with the Frost Museum of Science. Take in the screening of Disney’s Frankenweenie at 7 at Cycad Vista - blankets and lawn chairs welcome. Bring a picnic basket to enjoy during the movie, or see what's cooking at the Glasshouse Cafe. Admission is free for Garden members and kids 5 and under; $25 for adults, $18 for seniors and $12 for children 6 to 17.

Queen of Blood at Science Art Cinema

Friday, October 23 at 7 p.m.

The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science will host its second Science Art Cinema, special program focusing on fear and how it affects the human brain. Enjoy a special set by DJ Le Spam of City of Progress Studio as you partake of complimentary light bites and libations. There will be a captivating presentation by Dr. Elizabeth Reynolds Losin from the UM’s Department of Psychology who will provide insight on what occurs inside the human brain when confronted with fear. The screening of the science fiction cult classic “Queen of Blood” will follow the presentation by Dr. Losin.

HALLOWEEN AT HOGWARTS AND BEYOND!

Halloween at 3 p.m.

As part of Festival Miami 2015, the Frost Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Alexander Magalong, will present Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: Children's Suite for Orchestra by John Williams. Also on the program will be Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saëns and Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky. Broomsticks and wands are welcome but may require checking at the door! Children are invited to dress in Halloween costumes and enjoy healthy post-concert treats courtesy of Wholefoods Market Coral Gables. Tickets are $10 and $15.

FUNTAINEBOO HALLOWEEN BASH

A wicked fun time awaits youngsters at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach for the FB Kids FuntaineBoo Holloween Bash. Little zombies and witches from ages 4 to 12 will have a haunting good time at this family friendly affair. Kids are invited to dress in their best costumes as they enjoy ghoulish activities such as Pin the Nose on the Jack-o-Lantern, an Eyeball Bounce and a Witch Pitch at this grueling event. Kiddies will also be enchanted by whimsical crafting like Halloween frame decorating, mini pumpkin decorating and sparkle tattoo applications as they jam to spooky beats. Don’t forget to pay a visit to Dracula’s Lair and the FuntaineBoo fortune teller for a look into your future. Children are also invited to pose for a photo in the Harvest Room to capture the grueling memories. Admission is complimentary for hotel guests and $10 for non-hotel guests.

PETER & THE WEREWOLF

Halloween at 1 p.m. Plus Two More Performances!

Trick or Treat? Actually it's both, as Orchestra Miami presents "Peter & the Werewolf!" Prokofiev's beloved music presented with a new story that has a unique Halloween "twist," It's the perfect way to introduce your little munchkins to classical music! Juice and cookies will be served. Concerts last approximately one hour. Three performances, three locations! The PAMM Teen Art Council's (PTAC) first museum lock-in is just for highschool teens. Miami Seaquarium has planned four days of family-friendly Halloween fun for little ghosts and goblins! Monster Splash Daytime Bash returns with more ghoulish treats and ghostly fun than ever before. Kids can trick-or-treat at Sharky’s Sweet Tooth Stations from noon to 4; enjoy kiddie rides and bounce houses at the Little Monsters Play Area from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; take the Monsters in the Mangrove Haunted Walk; and watcj Flipper’s Dance Party at the only place in Miami with Halloween themed marine animal shows. Monster Splash Daytime Bash is a safe Halloween alternative for kids and their families. Admission for Monster Splash is the regular park admission - $42.99 and $33.99 for children ages 3-9.
