The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade’s Annual Luncheon, Power of the Purse - Powering our Community to Change the World, is one of Miami’s most anticipated events. For over two decades, the luncheon has been recognized as one of the largest gatherings of “who’s who” of Miami-Dade County’s executives, business owners, community leaders, public officials and philanthropic-minded women and men. Over 800 guests are expected to attend on Thursday, March 16, at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami.
A highlight of the luncheon is our legendary Power of the Purse Silent Auction. The silent auction features designer and one-of-a-kind purses, jewelry, fine wines, home accessories, and dining, travel and entertainment packages. Proceeds from the luncheon provide support and sustainability to our work on advocacy campaigns and to the work of the organizations which we support.
The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade believes that all women and girls have the right to economic security, freedom from violence, equal access to leadership and education, and the right to make personal decisions about healthcare and reproduction. When women and girls thrive, our entire community prospers.
Individual tickets start at $150. For more information on table and ticket sales, sponsorships or to purchase an ad in the program book, please visit the event website or call or email Lisa M. Pollack, Director of Events & Marketing at 305-441-0506 or Lisa@WomensFundMiami.org.
About The Women’s Fund of Miami DadeThe Women’s Fund Miami-Dade empowers women and girls through advocacy and funding for innovative initiatives that build equality, foster social change and create community partners. Founded in 1993, The Women’s Fund is Miami-Dade’s only organization directing all of its energy toward creating equal opportunity, access and influence for women and girls. Through research, collaboration, and grant-making we expose the issues, give voice to the silent majority, and pool our collective giving power to provide grassroots solutions. We believe that by pooling our resources we can create a just and safe Miami-Dade, where power and possibility are not limited by gender. The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade improves the lives of women and girls through grant making, research, advocacy and education.
