Join the Miami Book Fair International's Literati Society

Become a member of the Miami Book Fair International’s Literati Society for great perks and connecting with other book lovers. The Literati Society was created for young professionals, founded by a dynamic group of young movers and shakers, including Michael Bolden, editorial director of the Knight Foundation, Rebekah Monson, co-founder of the New Tropic and Code for Miami, and Jackie Gutierrez-Jones, UrbanDaddy’s Miami editor.

Geared for ages 25 to 45, members of the Literati Society will enjoy preferential seating at Book Fair events, MBFI after-parties, invitations to social events, private book signings and complimentary events, along with discounts on creative writing workshops and at the Café at Books & Books at the Arsht Center.

"The Miami International Book Fair brings together authors and book lovers from all over the world to celebrate what is best and brightest in the human spirit,” said Adele Bagley, Literati Founder and Chief of Community Engagement for Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava.

“I've joined the Literati Society as a founding member because I grew up going to the Book Fair,” Bagley added. “I believe it is one of our community's crowning and most inclusive cultural jewels and want to be sure that I can share the experience with my own children one day.”

Literati Society annual membership is $125, which includes a MBFI membership badge, one complimentary ticket to an Evenings With session, free admission to the Weekend Street Fair, a complimentary Book Fair accessory item, and more! Best of all, half of all membership fees are used to purchase books for under-resourced schoolchildren on field trips to the Miami Book Fair.

Want to learn more? Attend the Literati Society’s upcoming event on Thursday, August 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at The New Tropic. Meet the founders and socialize with Society members. It’s free – just RSVP www.thecenteratmdc.org.
