Fashion Loves Art
A commitment to Miami’s arts culture @BalHarbourShops

Continuing its commitment to the philanthropic community, Bal Harbour Shops partnered with over 50 local cultural organizations and charities for the 3rd annual Fashion's Night Out (FNO) celebration as the guests shopped in support of their favorites causes.

Participating retailers donated a portion of their sales or contributed auction items in their FNO fundraising efforts.

"Our Fashion's Night Out event has quickly become a social ritual, where people turnout to have a good time and shop for a variety of good causes," said Cheryl Stephenson, VP of marketing for Bal Harbour Shops.

Art played a major role in the evening. Oscar de la Renta and Debra Scholl from Locust Projects presented an evening of Flamenco dance and music. Locust also displayed an installation in the storefront windows.

At Pomellato, YoungArts, a national organization based in Miami that promotes arts education, brought one of their alums, jazz artist Emmet Cohen and his trio.

The Florida Grand Opera featured two singers at Brioni. They sang opera amongst fine men’s apparel – certainly a random act of culture.

Many other arts organizations were present including the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Miami Children’s Museum, Free Arts - NYC, Friends of the Miami City Ballet, Wolfsonian- FIU, the Arsht Center, Citizen's Interested in Arts and the Bass Museum.

Bal Harbour will continue to support the arts all season long at Bal Harbour Art Nights, a unique cultural series, which launched last season that celebrates the special synergy between fashion and art.

In the embedded docu-short, we touch upon the correlation between fashion and art as seen through this specific event.
