Stunning Impact
Miss Bikini, Rosato and Sofia Milos Partner for Charity

It was a star-studded five days at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim and luxury Italian brands Miss Bikini and Rosato partnered to both highlight their 2008 collections and raise money for charity.

With the help of CSI Miami star Sofia Milos, they hosted a dazzling after party at the Setai on South Beach. The Setai affair was followed by a party after the party that featured Cavalli Vodka and was generously underwritten by Constantin A. Dietrich, the philanthropic owner of the nightclubs Suite and Snatch.

Beautiful fashion models, including the current Miss Florida International University, roamed the crowd draped in elegant Miss Bikini attire, with accessories provided by Italian jewelry designer Rosato, to promote the summer charity raffle with proceeds benefiting two organizations that are dear to Milos – Criminon and Fight for Kids.

Miss Bikini, Rosato, Nowone, Total Luxury Group and SocialMiami.com are pleased to continue the raffle that began during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim to raise money for these two important organizations. Raffle tickets are $50 and the prizes are five luxury gift bags each valued at $5,000.

Each gift bag contains five bikinis from the Miss Bikini LUXE collection, one watch from Miss Bikini Time and one kaftan from Miss Bikini Pret à Porter. Also included are two beautiful bracelets and one necklace from Rosato. Winners from the raffle will be announced in late September during the Miss Bikini fashion show in Milan. SocialMiami.com will broadcast the results shortly after. Click here to purchase raffle tickets.

Criminon

Originally established in New Zealand in 1972, Criminon provides drug education, life skills programs and self-study courses to over 8600 inmates each week in 35 countries across the globe. Operating in the United States since 1989, Criminon workshops, available to correctional officers as well as inmates, are aimed at restoring the criminal's self respect and making them responsible for their actions so that they become ethical and productive members of society.

“I’m very passionate about Criminon,” says Milos. “This organization teaches individuals in the prison system to have self respect, and when people have self respect, they are less likely to commit crimes. The program teaches older inmates how to be positive role-models for younger inmates who still have a chance. This education leads to self respect and true rehabilitation, which cuts down on the recidivism rate.”

Fight for Kids

Fight for Kids is a division of Citizens Commission on Human Rights, an organization dedicated to investigating and exposing psychiatric human rights abuse. Milos’s interest is specific to the adverse effects pharmaceutical drugs have on children.

“Normal childhood behavior is being diagnosed as a disease,” says Milos. “A child who may have trouble concentrating is being given drugs as a first option. Maybe the child has too much sugar in their diet. Maybe the child doesn’t get enough physical activity, or maybe it’s just normal childhood angst. The reality is that there is profit involved with prescribing potentially harmful medicines to children when they really do not need it. This is wrong... I’m very pleased that Andrea Teofilatto (Miss Bikini), Simona Rosato (Rosato jewelry), Luca Peretti (Nowone productions), Janon Costley (Total Luxury Group) and Aaron Glickman (SocialMiami) have chosen to use their efforts during Fashion Week Miami, as well as the months following, to raise money for these wonderful charities.”

So, don’t miss this opportunity to support two important charities while entering to win a luxury swimsuit and jewelry package from Miss Bikini and Rosato. Raffle tickets are available at www.wantickets.com. Enter today!
