Known as “the Godfather of Italian-American cooking,” Steve Martorano-- the personality and mastermind behind Martorano's Fort Lauderdale – will tomorrow make his fifth appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, where he’ll whip up his famous Italian linguine and clams. Martorano, a staple of the South Florida dining scene for more than two decades, began his culinary world career with a sandwich shop out of his South Philly home. Today with a food empire, Martorano has a series of restaurants, from Martorano’s flagship location in Fort Lauderdale to concepts in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Fort Lauderdale’s Martorano's has served South Florida for 26 years, including celebrities such as Shaquille O’Neal, Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, Flo Rida, Joe Montana, Jamie Foxx, Doug E Fresh, Ludacris, Vin Diesel, Kevin Hart, and more.
Martorano himself has developed a cult following after appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Today,” “The View,” “The Steve Harvey Show,” “The Real Housewives of Miami,” “Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best,” “The Fab Life,” “Kathy Lee and Hoda,” and “BET”. The author of two books “YoCuz! My Life, My Food, My Way” and, “It Ain’t Sauce, It’s Gravy… How Food Saved my Life,” (Knopf,) Martorano has also launched a wine label, pasta sauces, the “YoCuz!” apparel line, and a jewelry line.
