The Miami Science Museum, soon-to-be the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, will host its stellar 12th Annual Galaxy Gala on Saturday, March 14, 2014. The event will showcase the new Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, opening on the waterfront in Downtown Miami’s Museum Park.
Since its inception, the Galaxy Gala has helped raise funds for and highlight the development of the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, a world-class, state-of-the-art facility currently under construction.
The now famously fun evening celebrating science will begin with a cocktail reception featuring live animals and an auction, followed by a dining experience featuring food, dancing and entertainment. Black tie optional is the event dress code.
The evening is presented by Miami Science Museum’s Board of Trustees with the leadership of a Gala Committee comprised of community activists and philanthropists. Gala co-chairs for the third consecutive year are Nancy & Jonathan Batchelor and Nicole & Edgar Lozano. Philanthropic Chairs are Trish & Dan Bell, and Host Chairs are Alicia Cervera LaMadrid & Alberto LaMadrid.

“The 12th annual Galaxy Gala will be an extraordinary party,” said Nicole Lozano. “It is an opportunity for all of us to come together in support of the amazing new Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science.”
Coinciding with the Galaxy Gala will be the Museum’s Young Patrons Big Bang After-Party. Targeting young professionals, ages 21 to 40, the Big Bang begins at 9:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour, and at 11 p.m. the doors will open to the main event where attendees will join gala-goers and “crash” the party. The Gala transforms into a nightlife-inspired event with a DJ, dancing, special performances and cocktails.
