SoJo Design and Il Villaggio Realty, in association with SocialMiami.com, recently presented an exclusive Miami fashion event for the Ippolita jewelry line by famed Italian designer, Ippolita. The day-long shopping affair was held at the stunning penthouse at 1500 Ocean Drive, a luxury high-rise in the heart of South Beach.
Ippolita jewelry is beautiful, sleek and graphic. Known for gorgeously sculptured work in 18K gold, signature bangles and open-link chains, Ippolita had its first-ever sale in Miami Beach. The line that is carried in Bergdorf Goodman, London Jewelers, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue was offered at between 50 and 75 percent off of retail.
Carrie Underwood, Alicia Keys, Kate Hudson and other A-list celebrities have walked the red carpet in Ippolita and the distinctive quality of the brand comes from handmade precision. The line’s signature bangles, for example, are hand cast from original wax sculptures, and the open-link chains used in earrings and necklaces are formed and soldered by hand as well.
Views of the Atlantic Ocean were an ideal backdrop as roughly 50 guests shopped in complete privacy while sipping on Piper-Heidsieck champagne from Rèmy Cointreau. Sofia Joelsson, principal and creative director of SoJo Design, and Eloy Carmenate, principal of Il Villaggio Realty, provided the multi-million dollar condo for this one-time event.
“It was wonderful to host an event like this,” said Joelsson. “Anytime we can have such a targeted and sophisticated group of shoppers that can see the stunning work that SoJo creates, it’s a winning scenario.”

Il Villaggio Realty specializes in high-end South Beach condos, Miami Beach condos, commercial properties, and other Miami real estate. The firm operates out of their Ocean Drive sales showroom at the Shoppes of IL Villaggio in South Beach, directly across from the 1500 Ocean Drive building that held the event.
