Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden will host Gala in the Garden 2012, "Paradise Found" on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. Chairmen for this year’s black-tie fundraiser are Swanee DiMare and Frances Aldrich Sevilla-Sacasa. Penny Stamps and Joyce Burns will serve as Philanthropic Chairmen.

Fairchild’s Gala in the Garden is South Florida’s must-attend social event. “I look forward to Fairchild’s Gala in the Garden every year. Not only is the garden the most beautiful and unique location for a black-tie event, the Gala supports the important work of Miami’s truly “green” organization,” says Co-Chairman Swanee DiMare of the event and referring to Fairchild’s critical work in tropical plant conservation and environmental education initiatives.

This year’s Gala in the Garden will welcome 450 guests beginning with cocktails and a highlight of the evening, a silent auction, in the Jean duPont Shehan Visitor Center. Guests will proceed to a large lakeside pavilion for dining and dancing to live music.

Lasso the Moon will cater the event and create the innovative décor for the evening using brilliant purples and greens and filling the room with orchids to set off the lavish theme. Gala guests will not only enjoy a spectacular evening in stunning tropical landscape but they will also be supporting the vital conservation work of Fairchild.

Seats for Gala in the Garden start at $600. For more information and to purchase seats or tables, please contact Susannah Shubin at 305.667.1651, Ext. 3375 or sshubin@fairchildgarden.org.
