Sensatia at Faena Theater
A Must-See Multisensory Experience
Combine Cirque du Soleil with a splash of burlesque and you have a pretty clear picture of Faena's enthralling new Cirque Cabaret.
What makes this show so special is that it's interactive, putting you directly in the middle of the action. Our host for the evening, a fiery red head with a beautiful singing voice reminiscent of Lady Marmalade-era Christina Aguilera, interacted with the audience throughout the entire evening, cracking jokes and engaging in fun back-and-forth dialogue with audience members. And she wasn't the only one: half naked burlesque dancers, clad in sparkling barely-there ensembles, frequently made their way through the audience, gracefully dipping past the banquette tables as they made their way front and center. The performances were a varied mix of live music, dance, aerial choreography, and jaw-dropping acrobatics, all to visually captivating stage effects. Some of our favorite acts in particular included an exotic fire dancing performance, the spellbinding violinist, and a two-girl aerial hoop performance that will have your head spinning in the best possible way.
For those that like to get their evenings started a little later, Faena has you covered: As of last month, Faena introduced a late-night 11PM show, where you're invited to join this colorful group of characters after dark for an intimate experience you won't soon forget.
Guests ages 18 and older welcome. Dinner Show tickets begin at $250 and are available at www.FaenaTheater.com and Ticketmaster.
