Eating for a Cause
One of Miami’s most popular annual food and wine charity events, the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction kicked off with a pre-party at the Eden Roc with brilliant Chef Paula DaSilva The event, presented by Goya Foods, featured some of Miami’s top toques, including Tim Andriola of Tmo and Chef Timon Balloo of Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill. The event raised funds for the March of Dimes’ mission to ensure that all babies are born healthy and full-term. Hit of the night: pork belly tacos that had guests elbowing each other for first dibs.
It’s About Time
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, one of Miami’s most precious jewels, opened its doors to the public with the expertly curated “Jungle Sweat, Roseate” a mixed media fantasy created by local artist Naomi Fisher. In “Jungle Sweat, Roseate,” a female character stumbles upon Vizcaya from the depths of the mangroves, covered in the residue of nature. Fisher tells the fantastical story of the woman’s experiences in this new environment. Spotted at the event: Mera and Don Rubell, Juan Roselione-Valadez, Daniel Blair, aka DJ Hottpants and Jamaican banker Marc Goodman.
