Art Basel Sponsor UBS Supports Women Entrepreneurs
UBS insures that Art Basel has Miami is dripping glamour, but amidst the raised champagne glasses, the celebrity sightings and the art priced above what's likely the wealth management company's minimum account requirement, this financial powerhouse made sure it spent time this week promoting minority business. The company that sponsors Art Basel – the world's most prestigious art fair featuring works priced for millions -- organized a discussion on entrepreneurship that was headed by and intended to promote businesses run by women of color. A select group of women who have succeeded to great extent professionally and financially spent the morning tucked away in the sponsor's VIP lounge, where it partnered with Village Capital to host panelists including Kathryn Finney, who founded digitalundivided – an organization that leads high potential black and Latinx women businesses through the startup process.

Brickell City Center Hosts FREE! Art Installations
Amongst its high-end retailers and gourmet cafes, Brickell City Center will host FREE!, a non-commercial contemporary art fair. Displayed on the shopping center's fourth floor, FREE! isn't named for its financial implication, though it is open to the public at no cost, but rather its investigations into race, gender, nationality, sexuality and religion though its experimental installations.

Artist Profile: Jordi Mollá
Of his many roles he played on screen, actor Jordi Mollá in “Genius” helped bring to life the greatest minds of those who made history and these days, in his real-life foray into art, he is reviving the classical works of those who he considers to be the great Masters – from Leonardo Da Vinci to Pablo Picasso.

Molla – who has been painting for decades and is today represented by David Rosen Galleries -- will in 2018 be exhibiting his work at several events during Miami Art Week.

Williams Jr. could turn his creations into real cash but during his last stint in prison, the artist whose crimes made national news had learned to create work that’s even more valuable. Williams still paints money but these days attaches the currency to canvas and sells pieces for $25,000 that hang in homes the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Floyd Mayweather.
